Brecon Beacons National Park with Pen-Y-Fan in the background, location Libanus.

Pen-Y-Fan is the key focal point in the background , but you'll be glad to know we don't have to climb any mountains at this location! It's the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons mountain range. This striking location is ideal with most dogs and their owners. The dramatic mountain usually is accompanied with dramatic skies, making for great outdoor dog photography.
This location, just a short drive from Brecon town is on a hill, although we can park very close to the area where we take the photographs, so is great for any ageing dog who can't walk too far, (there are no hills for us to climb here!) The area has pathways between ferns and bracken, great for your dog to run along. In the cooler months there is usually a shallow pond, for those waterdogs who like to splash, (this pond usually dries up in the summer months). Pen-y-Fan, being a key focal point in the background constantly changes its look with the weather, it can be lit up with sunshine, or covered with mottled shadows from the clouds. If we are lucky, during winter, it may be covered in snow! Being there highest mountain in South Wales, sometimes it is obscured by low clouds, though I do check the weather forecast the day before each photoshoot, I cannot guarantee it'll be visible during inclement weather.
